How does Starship Mojave help the environment?

I don’t think I’m what you would call an “environmentalist”, but I usually recognize problems when I see them.
Who really knows if humans are contributing to global warming, or if it’s a natural change in the climate?

One thing we can all agree on – we put too much gunk in our atmosphere, oceans, and landfills.

Starship Mojave is helping by being “green”, not just out of respect for our planet, but also because recycling is cost-effective :)

So how does Starship Mojave help the environment?

^ The captain’s chair was constructed from two parts. The top was found in an alley in Burbank California, the bottom was found on the side of the road in Mojave California. If it weren’t for my project they’d probably still be there.

^ Most of the set walls were constructed of OSB (oriented strand board). This is an inexpensive material constructed from recycled wood.

^ The table in the captain’s quarters was a door found on the side of the road in Mojave California that I cut down to size. It was covered with simulated wood-grain shelf paper.

^ The phasers contain small plastic parts that would have ended up in the trash.

^ The transporter pads were constructed from a heap of scrap metal (bicycle wheels and square tubing).
